Had breakfast with Jeremy and William yesterday at a popular coffee shop located near Senadin Petronas Station. Jeremy has completed his industrial training with a large MNC and he will resume his course at Curtin Miri for another 3 semesters.
Jeremy ordered fried noodles.
My original plan to invite Jeremy for breakfast was to thank him for serving as a pianist in our church last Tuesday. The gifted musician is also a current member of the national Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
But what I wanted was not to be.
Because of Wendy.
We met her with her colleagues at the same place too. She gave me no chance to buy. : ) Thanks Wendy - owe you one!
I ordered Laksa noodles. It was okay but where was the Chinese parsley garnishing that I love?
Also met Rachel (occasional pianist in our church) for the first time. She has been in my mailing list for ages yet we're strangers! William introduced. So paiseh since our church is so small and everyone's supposed to know who's who. You're Aaron's dad, right? asked Rachel smilingly.
Later in the evening Victor and his wife Kristy gave us a 10 min lesson on Sign Language after our cell group study ended. Easy to learn, but hard to retain!
Earlier on our cell members were pleasantly surprised that Chang Yi from our church dropped by for a visit. I invited her over to inject spice and variety into our cell so that we would not be complacent and regress in our standard of conducting interesting and lively meetings. I was also delighted that she enjoyed my carrot cake. She said it was delicious! : )

Ahhh... you're making me hungry with that bowl of laksa! Stuff we can't just go and out and buy from this part of the States I'm in, and too much work to try and make one bowl for myself from scratch because my husband and two boys aren't into spicy food!
Your carrot cake must be very delicious -- I saw it last on Yan's blog -- and hope to give it a try!
You have a wonderful weekend now with your family!
Ah, Chang Yi, the evergreen!
