SMCGC

I went to visit the Senadin Methodist Campus Gospel Centre (SMCGC) this morning. The centre is located at the outskirts of Miri, and is near the Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak Campus.

I wanted to surprise my cell group members Duan and Angeline. They were leading the Praise and Worship for the Good Friday service when I was taking pics.

I was delighted that the centre has been nicely renovated, unlike the state it was in when I visited last year. It's neat and clean with the right ambience for worshipping. I'm really proud of Duan and Angeline; the husband and wife team has been active and faithful in their service to SMCGC, especially with the English-speaking congregation which consists mainly of Curtin undergraduates. There is also an impressive larger group of Chinese-speaking congregation, mostly undergraduates.

Pastor Connie Yong is the new shepherd this year. Like her predecessor, the young and vibrant Pastor is able to relate to the young adults in the congregation easily. I'm confident SMCGC will grow further under her pastoral care.

We would love to impact SMCGC with our 40DOP campaign this July!
