In conjunction with its 5th anniversary, Senadin Methodist Campus Gospel Centre (SMCGC) presented a wonderful Thanksgiving service at my church yesterday. Lead by their pastor-in-charge Connie Yong, more than sixty young adults (most Curtin undergraduates) presented a service that was full of grace and worthy of praise!
SMCGC is special to us because GMC and its members (lead by Rev Law Hui Seng) played a major role in its formation and nurturing. Like many Christian centres, SMCGC has had its humble beginnings at a rented premises before moving to its self-owned shophouse building two years ago. Only a handful of worshipers attended the services in the beginning. Today the combined Mandarin and English services make up of more than 100 worshipers!
Getting ready to start the service.
Opening dance presentation so elegantly choreographed! Watch the clip here.
A dynamic music worship team!
I was particularly impressed with their choir doing a rendition of an African song for the Response Hymnal. Watch the clip here.
